Method of Counseling
I use both my counseling education and my theology education to approach my view of each person.
I believe that each individual has a cognitive, affective, physical and spiritual self. I believe that each
of these area’s are affected when an individual faces a crisis, has endured trauma, or is facing
challenges in everyday life.

In creating a treatment plan, I present an integrated counseling service to my clients by implementing
various therapeutic orientations along with biblical truth and concept. I understand that not all clients
will be interested in Christian counseling. Clients will have a choice. I respect my client’s goals and
direction in our therapeutic relationship. My goal is to come alongside my clients and assist them in
finding hope in their circumstance, strength in their healing process along with the appropriate,
tangible skills to meet that circumstance.   While I believe healing comes through the Lord, I believe
learning to come to terms with life, is a process of applying knowledge to our lives in a practical way.

Medical Interventions in Counseling
Counseling issues can be related to organic problems. I encourage my clients to actively seek medical
assistance, and I can refer you to a psychiatrist, if necessary.   I believe psychotropic medications can
enhance the therapeutic process when appropriately diagnosed, and administered.

Statement of Faith
I believe in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. I believe and accept the grace,
mercy and love given to me through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ, and the power released to
people by practicing the truth found in the Holy Bible. I believe in and accept the power of the Holy
Spirit to guide, provide insight, and reveal truth to both the counselor and client in my practice. I
believe in the power of prayer. I believe that the power and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and His
Word, when applied, will bring healing and restoration to all of us when we submit to Their authority.
