Method of Counseling/Medical Interventions/Statement of Faith
I use both my counseling education and my theology education to approach my view of each
person.I believe that each individual has a cognitive, affective, physical and spiritual self. Each of
these area’s are affected when an individual faces a crisis, or has endured trauma, as well as
daily changes in life, age, and career.

In creating a treatment plan I implement various therapeutic orientations along side biblical truth
and concept to present an integrated counseling service to my clients.  I understand that not all
clients will be interested in Christian counseling.  Clients will have a choice.  I respect my client’s
goals and direction in our therapeutic relationship.  My goal is to come along side my clients and
assist them in finding hope in their circumstance, find their strength in their healing process and
equip my clients with tangible skills appropriate to their need.  While I believe healing comes
through the Lord, I believe learning to come in terms with life, is a process of applying
knowledge into our lives in a practical way.

Medical Interventions in Counseling
Counseling issues can be related to organic problems.  I encourage my clients to actively seek
medical assistance when necessary.  I have Psychiatrist available both for referral, and
consultations.  I believe psychotropic medications enhance the therapeutic process when
appropriately diagnosed, and administered.

Statement of Faith
I believe in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.  I believe and accept the grace,
mercy and love given to me through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ, and the power released
to people through practicing the truth found in the Holy Bible.  I believe in and accept the power
of the Holy Spirit to guide, provide insight, and reveal truth to both the counselor and client in my
practice.  I believe in the power of prayer.  I believe that the power and grace of the Lord Jesus
Christ and His Word, when applied, will bring healing and restoration to all of us when we submit
to their authority.

I also believe and accept the teachings and the responsibility of my profession entrusted to me
through my education.  General truth and practical principles of living are to be effectively
applied along side the truths of the Bible.  Therefore, my practice is the integration of my faith
and my education of counseling.
